Before joining RLDatix as the Medical Director, Darren trained in Emergency Medicine in the North-West of England and Australia. As the Deputy Medical Director at East Cheshire Trust, he led a project to implement electronic job planning and medical staff rostering across the entire organisation, resulting in the largest agency spending savings in the country.

Darren then took on the role of Executive Medical Director in Chester, where he guided the Trust’s clinical workforce through the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, he has chaired both the NHS Employers’ National Medical Workforce Forum and the NHS Providers National Medical and Nursing Directors’ Group.
